Follow St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Parish

All are Welcome

The Parish of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi was created by uniting the four faith communities in the North-West of Halifax. Together, inside our distinctive and historic churches, we worship as one welcoming and vibrant Christian community whose outreach is based in love and friendship.

All are welcome to visit our churches.

Our Vision

Our administrator and our leadership are currently collaborating to create the vision for our parish. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to inspire them for the success of this work.

Our Mission

Support and strengthen our faith community, creating the opportunity to deepen our relationship with God in Jesus Christ and to build up our spiritual communion as disciples, brothers and sisters in Christ.

On this foundation we hope to provide a welcoming environment for everyone who seeks the peace and love that comes from those relationships, and to reach out to everyone who needs to hear the message of the Gospel, through evangelization and charity.

Our Parish Community Leaders

Bringing together and serving in the four churches of North-West End Halifax is our dedicated team, made of many lay leaders who chose to share with our clergy the responsibility of the well-being and growth of our parish. Their dedication makes it possible for us to achieve our mission.

Mass: What to Expect

If you have never been to Mass before, or if you haven't gone in a long time, we are excited to have you join us as we celebrate and worship together. We understand that it may feel foreign at first, and that some parts might seem confusing. The last thing we would want is for you to feel unwelcome during the service, so we have created a little guide for you to help you understand the liturgy a little better.
